Reading ...
No Way Back by Andrew Gross-- about 1/4 of the way through and it's not bad so far...I'm interested to see how the two story lines tie together. I'm trying out this book before I get to The One Man by this author which has amazing reviews!
Watching ...
{via} |
MG and I finished The Fall yesterday and man was that series dark but engrossing!
Of course I'm watching all of my Bravo regulars like Southern Charm, RHOBH, Vanderpump (which is over now, boo!), RHONY....basically give me Bravo or give me death lol

Looking forward to ...
another prenatal massage today after work! My second one in a week--I'm using up those massage envy massages that I have built up while I can!
Enjoying ...
all of the compliments I've been receiving about how good I look. Anything nice that makes a pregnant lady feel good about herself, I'll take it.
Drinking...
water, and some sugar free iced tea to change things up a bit since I can't enjoy a beer and don't really want to have a glass of wine with 3 weeks left--I can hold out.
Loving....
that my department finally figured out who is going to cover for me while I'm on maternity leave, AND she is coming today to start getting familiar with the school, the kids I work with, my schedule, etc. Makes me feel a little better that it won't be totally up in the air if I go out early.
Dreading....
Having to share my office space with someone else during this time. I like having my own space, plus my office is kinda small, so it might be a little tight in here with both of us. I just hope she's normal otherwise it will be LONG days of awkward conversations when I'm not seeing kids.

Wanting ...
to not have to test my blood sugars anymore, and just eat what I crave without worrying about how it's affecting the baby. I already feel guilty that I have gestational diabetes and it's affecting her on some level (even though I know there's nothing that I could have done to prevent it)....I guess this whole mom guilt thing is real. Just glad that we're being monitored and that she's still doing ok, even if she's big (81st percentile! eep!)
Wearing ...
Short sleeves, and whatever flowy dresses I can get away with. Thanks to Lindsay last week, I ordered a bunch of swing dresses from Old Navy which are supposed to arrive today and tomorrow, so hopefully those will get me through these next few weeks before baby girl gets here (and after!) Added bonus: they were only $15 each!

Grateful For...
making it to 37 weeks! Baby is "early full term" which makes me happy that she's ready to survive in the outside world if she makes her appearance (which it doesn't not seem like she is even contemplating, based on her living basically under my ribs still lol)
Now it's your turn to link up and share what's hap-"pinning" with you!

I'm so sad Vanderpump is over but I'm kinda excited for the Jax and Brittany spin off. That should be interesting! And I love those swing dresses from ON! I have a few from last season I still wear. <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteThat's great that someone is coming in to learn the ropes before you leave for maternity leave. I hope you both get along! I understand feeling weird about sharing an office space though.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about The Fall - I don't mind dark! :)
-Lauren
I can't believe you're almost full term! So crazy! But I'm so excited for you all and all the sweet moments to come! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're almost there. The last few weeks are the worst. Just know you are doing great! cannot wait for her to arrive!

I can't believe you are 37 weeks already. So exciting. Love the idea of making the baked queso tacos again. It has been too long.
ReplyDeleteYum to those cookies - heading over to check those out! With the GD - just think, you're almost done and it almost always goes right back to normal so hang in there! "Give me BRAVO or give me death" hahaha yes girl!
ReplyDeleteYou are so close!! Those cookies look soooo good - I need to print that recipe immediately!
ReplyDeleteMeg, Borrowed Heaven
I can't believe it's only 3 weeks left! And thank you for some for that peanut butter cookie recipe--this fellow preggo can't wait to make some of them!
ReplyDeleteYour meals for this week sound delicious! I'm sure it's a huge relief getting to work with your replacement to know everything will be taken care of in your absence. Yay for baby girl being in the safe delivery period but I hope she decides to wait a little bit longer to make her entrance for you!

I'm sure it's not the same for you...but I feel like your pregnancy has flown by! I remember when I was pregnant with #4...at the end of each week at the end I would tell myself I would allow myself one glass of wine and every week I would chicken out. haha
ReplyDeleteHehe. Sorry to be such an enabler! You'll definitely thank me later, though. I wore two of them this past weekend and I could not love them more! And GIRL - I cannot believe that you only have three weeks left!! I know it has probably felt like the longest pregnancy for you (especially b/c of the GD) but it seems to have flown by for me! I can't even believe you're almost there! I can't wait to see her pretty little face!
ReplyDeleteYour meals all look so yummy! I'm sure you are ready to be able to eat what you want - but you are rocking at coming up with meals to eat in spite of things! Congratulations on making it full term - just a few more weeks!
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe how close you are!!! Those swing dresses are adorable btw.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are just three weeks away! Seems like it flew by, but I'm sure not for you. I have made your buffalo chicken boats for my blog before and loved them! Now I need to try those queso tacos!
ReplyDeleteYou are so close to meeting your precious girl! I am so excited for you! :)
ReplyDeleteYou seriously do look amazing and can't believe it's already been 37 weeks! Those flowy swing dress sound perfect for pregnancy and post pregnancy. Hope the new sub teacher is likeable so the next few weeks go smoothly.
ReplyDeleteOnly three weeks left, I can't believe it. Before I forget, can I have your address?
ReplyDeleteThose tacos look so delicious!
