Sorry for my absence yesterday in blog land. I was just exhausted from being at the hospital all day on Tuesday and all the emotions that come with having a parent/loved one not well. Thank you to those of you who checked up on me yesterday because I wasn't around here--you all are so sweet and caring!
Your prayers and positive thoughts worked!--my dad is feeling better, and he was able to have the procedure to check for blockages. They found one in one of his arteries--now the doctors are deciding if it's safe to go in and try to correct it. But, my dad's in good spirits and feeling better from all of the other stuff that's been going on.

I'm participating in Thoughts on Thursday with Annie, but this week I'm talking about the things I'm thankful for, because given all of the events this week, I have a lot to be thankful for and gratitude is a powerful thing.
I'm thankful for....
~doctors and nurses who spend hours and hours out of their days to help people who need it. And especially the ones who are kind and compassionate.
~a mom who is so strong and has single-handedly made sure that my dad's needs are being met and that he's being taken care of properly, getting the right tests he needs, etc.
~a husband who lets me break down in front of him, and comforts me when I need it most
~medicine and technological advancements that help people who are sick
~having a dad who's a fighter, even when things are tough
~hearing "I love you"s
~being close enough to get home if I need to
~friends who check in and offer help/support and prayers (they worked!)
~another day with my Dad
What are you thankful for?
