Happy Monday, peeps!
The DC area got a bunch of icy rain yesterday and as a result, we don't have school...again. After taking Cooper out I see why because it's almost impossible NOT to slip out there.
The trees look really cool with the ice tho :)

This weekend wasn't too eventful, but I'm totally ok with that because the next few are looking to be pretty packed.
This weekend's highlights included:
~Trying out a new restaurant by our house for date night
~Falling asleep on the couch because I'm old
~2 trips to Home Depot to get a consultation on a vanity for our guest bathroom (it's so hard to find the right one!)
~New rug for the dining room
~Trip to the mall for birthday present ideas :)
~Had a delicious lunch at Brio and the most amazing lobster bisque ever
~Had plans to go out Saturday night but wasn't feeling it
~Made plans for my birthday weekend
~Sunday errands on icy roads
~Started prepping the basement doors and trim for the next round of house updates (here we go again with painting the trim and doors!)
~Rotated between The Good Wife and House of Cards (so we didn't blow through the whole season in a weekend)
~Bought the most delicious strawberries and raspberries
~Ended the night watching Downton Abbey with Cooper snuggles :)
There wasn't a ton of picture-worthy stuff this weekend, but it was still a nice weekend overall with a little bit of productive-ness, which is a feat considering HOC came out Friday ;)
Hope you had a good weekend, too!

Linking up with these pretties today:
Love that rug!! And yes, Brio has amazing lobster bisque--I forgot about it until just now and now I want some!! Sometimes weekends where you just relax and do random errands are the best :)
ReplyDeleteOk that lobster bisque and wedge salad looks amazing!!! I love the new rug that you bought - it looks so amazing in the dining room!!! Hope you have a great start to your week and yay for birthday plans...I did that too! :) xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteGreat purchase! How was the restaurant? No blogger meal pictures? hahahahahha. Tell me what you found as inspiration for birthday presents ;-) I think Brio has fabulous food! I like their happy hours. Glad you had a relaxing but productive weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou have Brio? I love that place, we had one near my house with M. Loved Downtown Abbey and so sad to see it leave for a year.
ReplyDeleteEek! Love the new rug, it's so cute! How was the new restaurant? I love Brio but I haven't been there in forever. They have the best flatbreads though! I totally feel you on the not wanting to do the plans you had Sat night. I wanted to bail on mine so bad but I went any way. My next few weekends are super busy but I'm totally ready for a nice relaxing weekend to do nothing! Happy Monday girl!

Love your new rug - it looks awesome! I just got a new rug for our living room and it seriously took me a month to make up my mind. Yours looks so great!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend to me!! Love the rug for your dining room! I need to find some rugs... our new house is ALL tile. Ugh, I kind of hate not having carpet in the living room. But I'm having a hard time spending the money on rugs since we are just renting! I'm hoping we buy a home next year so that I can really put money into decorating our home, knowing we aren't moving in a year or so.
ReplyDeleteI am all about berries lately - and so glad spring and summer are on the way. So excited for all the fresh fruit! Loving your new rug. It's amazing what a new rug can do!:) Can't wait to see what you are thinking about asking for for your birthday!:)
ReplyDeleteLove that rug! It looks great in there. I miss Brio, there isn't one in Charleston, but it was one of my favorite spots in Kentucky. Hope you have a good day off!
ReplyDeleteI’m enjoying our calm weekends too before things pick up.. I feel like everyone is always so much busier when the weather is nicer!!
ReplyDeleteI love the new rug, that pattern is one of my favorites and it looks great!!
Love that you scouted out the mall for birthday present ideas. I do that too :)
Oooh I love that rug! How is The Good Wife? I need a new show to watch!
ReplyDeleteCheers to March birthdays whaaaaat??!!! haha had to! LOVE the new rug- where did ya'll find it?? Sounds like a great relaxing weekend to me but stay safe with the ice- hopefully today's warmer temps/sun will melt most of it here!

ReplyDeleteI love your rug & table!
ReplyDeleteSounds productive and relaxing which is perfect! Love the new rug...where did you get it from? Lunch from Brio looks amazing and I just won a giftcard so I'll have to go treat myself soon.
ReplyDeleteIt always sounds like you get so much done on the weekends! I need some motivation!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good weekend! I think we're planning on starting Season 3 of HOC tonight! Good thing we didn't start on the weekend or I'm sure we would have blown through it!

That new rug is amazing! Love your weekend! Sounds like the perfect one! xo
ReplyDeleteRug looks great. I'm sure you'll find the perfect vanity. Is house of cards good?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good weekend! I loved seasons 1 and 2 of HOC, but sadly I am holding off on watching season 3 until my boyfriend can catch up so we can watch it together. I have heard goods things about season 3 from those who binged on it all weekend! Also, I love that rug in the dining room!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog! We have had lots of snow days here in Richmond lately, too, and more is in the forecast here tomorrow! I love "uneventful" weekends snuggled on the couch with a good show (or 3)...also love Brio lobster bisque, anytime!
ReplyDeleteI got a new rug for the nursery and I'm OBSESSED. Love yours too!
ReplyDeleteLove the rug! Glad you finally decided on one!
