What's Hap-"Pinning" Wednesday

It's Wednesday which means it's time for another round of What's Hap-"Pinning" with Jessi and I!
Did you guys see the Loft sale starting Sunday morning? 40% off AND Free shipping! That free shipping with Loft only seems to come around once a year (Christmas-time), so I was mega surprised and hopped onto my computer to make some purchases as soon as I saw that email.

I'll show you what I got, and then I'm gonna rant a little bit about how Loft ticked me off this weekend with their customer service (or lack thereof).

I have a major problem little obsession with tops. Once you have bottoms you have staples. Tops are what change up your outfits the most I think. And this is why my closet is jam-packed, but that's another story :)
Here's what was in my latest Loft haul:
I love the pretty coral color here and see it being a great transitional Spring piece
{via} $26.99
This one will obviously be more for next season, but I loved the medallion sweater Loft had earlier this year, and if this is anything like that one, it'll have been worth getting it now for next year:
{via} $32.99
I figure this one will be hit or miss for me. I think it could look good paired under a blazer, or stand-alone with cute skinnies and wedges. We'll see how it fits when it arrives:
{via} $17.70
This one I KNOW is going to be gorgeous. I got it last year, when it wasn't on sale (it was $40 something) to bring my order up to get free shipping. I debated keeping it because the lace detail is SO cute, but I couldn't spend $40 on a t-shirt (remember that, Biana?) For $23, I'll take it tho! #cometomama
{via} $23.70
This is just a standard tee, but I love Loft tees--and I love blush, so this one should be perfect!

And now, here's my rant. I love Loft. I shop there at least once a month, usually, so friends get me gift cards to Loft (and so do kids' parents sometimes too). I went to use a $25 gift card when I checked out Sunday morning, and it was applied to my total. So I go to check out, with my credit card info entered and I get an error message. So then I had to wait until 9am for their customer service lines to open. I called multiple times between 9 and 9:40 and each time I called, I kept getting the message to call back during their "normal business hours" which were listed as 9am on Sundays.

While I was doing that, I was trying to get someone on their Online chat. I started off 3rd in the queue, then moved to 2nd....then back to 3rd.....then back to 2nd. And then for the next 30 minutes I was bounced back and forth between 2nd and 1st place before I finally gave up.

I removed my gift card from my order and lo and behold, it let me check out (even though my gift card was totally valid).
So I wrote a scathing email to their customer service (since no one actually seemed to be working), and got an email back the next day thanking me for inquiring about the balance of my gift card. Not at ALL what I'd written about.
I got in touch with customer service on Monday and the only thing they offered me was free shipping the next time I ordered, but I have to call and order it through one of their agents (so, apparently I can't call on the weekend since no one seems to work then). Needless to say, I was pretty ticked off. It was not very good customer service at all, not to mention the time I wasted trying to place this stupid order, and didn't even get to use my gift card. Their customer service has been really good in the past when my order has gotten switched with someone else's (twice!). This time was a big disappointment.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'll think twice before I order from Loft again. Well, after I use my stupid gift card....

Ok, now that that rant is over, it's your turn to link up and share what's hap-"pinning" with you! It doesn't have to be Pinterest related!

  1. Oh girl, that is so frustrating! I had an annoying experience at one of their stores. I wanted to exchange something for a different size. I tried looking around the store for the shirt, but couldn't find it, so I just went up to the register. When I told them that, they basically were like oh if you didn't see it then I guess it's not here. Didn't offer to look around, or even in the back. Just were so rude about the whole thing. I avoid that store as much as I can now!

  2. I never think to shop at Loft because they are at the back of my local mall, but I went in there the other day with my mom and thought that their spring stuff was so cute! I've got a few things from there and love it. I love the tops you got!

  3. Ummm ya I would be pretty pissed too! I don't shop there unless it's in store because I never like to deal with their shipping either - I've had the switch happen to me! I love that white lace top you got - I'll go in store to get it :) xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  4. Nothing angers me more than bad customer service!! I used to work for a bank where good customer service was a huuuuge priority and I learned a lot there. You'd think a company that big would have their stuff together!!

  5. Ugh, that terrible customer service story made me enraged on your behalf - I get so frustrated when stores treat loyal customers like that! At least you have a cute order (finally!) heading your way - that lace detail is super pretty!

  6. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. This makes me so sad; I used to work at their corporate offices in NYC so they hold a special place in my heart.

  7. Love all that you got, but that would infuriate me, too! Nothing makes me more mad than bad customer service!!!

  8. First, LOVE all your picks! That black top is so cute and the striped one is so perfect for spring. Second, bad customer service is the worst. It literally makes me never want to shop there again. I had a horrible experience with Tory Burch's customer service two weeks ago and I'm hesitant to ever order with them again. Sorry you had such a negative experience girl. Hope all your stuff is cute though! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  10. Nothing will sour me on a store faster than bad customer service-doesn't it seem like a lot of places are funny about gift cards, or they screw up your order by trying to use if they don't cover the total cost!? So frustrating for you but those items are all adorable and hopefully worth it :-)

  12. Such great deals, although it is a bummer that the customer service experience wasn't as wonderful. Hope you enjoy your new purchases!

  13. I love Loft's 40% off - Derek always gives me a hard time if we're out to dinner near the mall I'm like Loft's 40% I have to go in, he's like it's literally always 40% off I feel haha! I love that lace top!

  15. UGH hate that. Honesty I have not shopped at Loft since before I was preggo. I just use stitch fix and trunk club and call it day.

  16. This round up is fab but sorry for that annoying-ness, ugh hate that! I think I have to get that lacy detail top though! Enjoy your day love! Muah!

  17. Yuck! I'm sorry to hear about that bad experience, especially since I love Loft!

  18. I adore the Loft clothing but NOT their customer service! That is horrible. I do love your sweet picks but so sorry they didn't make it right for you.

  19. So frustrating. I used to work at Loft and while I think they have some of the best associates and managers, the not in person aspect is the pits. Great haul! I just went last week and picked up some cute on sale shorts.

  20. Bad customer service turns into me never shopping there again. It makes such a difference right? Like if my wait time is more than 10 minutes.....not happening. Ugghhhh start tweeting them to read this post maybe that will make a difference ;)

  21. I've had crappy dealings with LOFT online and on the phone. I prefer to shop in their stores, and I don't prefer to shop in ANY stores, ever. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  22. I saw the emails about the Loft sale but I didn't have time to actually purchase anything! It looks like you got a really good haul this time around, even though you had to deal with the really crappy customer service!

  23. Sorry to hear about your horrible customer service experience - that is so annoying! You did pick out some cute things, though. :)

  24. Ughh how frustrating is that?! I have only ordered from Loft online a handful of times because I always like trying it on before spending the $$ for shipping, but how awful that you were never able to reach someone for a simple question and they never got back to you! Love that medallion sweater though :)!

  25. Oh gosh, what a pain! I rarely shop there, but fortunately in the few times that I have, I haven't had any issues.

  26. What a bummer! I love LOFT, they are one of my favorite stores by far and have never had any issues with them! I truly hope this was a weird/one-time thing with them! =\ I love all your picks though!

  29. So so frustrating with Loft!! I love everything you got but I have to agree on the customer service. The girls that work in the store close to me are super aggressive sales people and they're not very nice when you want to return something. I've had to stop going in the store because I hate the way they make me feel.

  30. ugh that would make me so mad. i rarely order from loft - i mean 99% of my work clothes are from loft, but i bought them all and now i don't 'need' anymore. plus, i need their tops in tall and apparently they don't like tall people all the time when it comes to tops. that first striped sweater is amazing though...

  31. The white lace top is tooo pretty! I would be pissed off too...They have such a quality store and products they need good customer service to back it up and actually be open during their advertised business hours.

  32. Loft, Ann Taylor, and Banana Republic are my go-to shopping sites. They have such classy pieces and they make them for Tall Ladies too!

Happy to join in on your link-up! I hadn't heard of it until now. =)

  33. I love everything you picked up, but I still can't believe that service that they provided you! xo, Champagne&Suburbs

  34. I know you love Loft but I've had such horrific experiences with their customer service that I refuse to shop there. Their stuff is cute, but I the last time I bought something from them, I only received 2/3 of my money back on the return, despite returning it 3 days after I bought it. They gave me the most BS reason and I just won't go back.
